Herbalism Series
In this six-part series, participants will learn how herbs can treat many acute and chronic illnesses that are commonly experienced by families. Participants will get hands-on instruction on how to prepare and use herbal remedies. They will also learn how to identify medicinal plants, experiencing them as living beings during a field class in an urban medicine garden. Classes are offered as a series. Students will take home a bottle of tincture and a jar of salve they make during the sessions and will also build a booklet of reference handouts to keep. Each class is 2 hours, except the final first aid and salve making class, which is 3 hours. The cost includes a supply fee to cover the cost of all herbal preparations. Safe, free childcare is provided upon registration and payment. |
