Old School Policies

Our policy at Old School is to offer accessible skill-sharing to the Albuquerque community. We’re here for you, so it’s our policy to be as helpful and accommodating as possible. These are a few things we’ve adopted.


We require prepayment online for all classes in order to save your spot in the class. If for some reason you cannot pay online, you may call us to arrange a check or cash payment. In the (somewhat rare) event that there are openings in the week before a class, we announce them on our facebook status and twitter feed to let you know that we’ll take walk-ins.


If you need to cancel, you must do so a full week before the class for a refund or credit. No exceptions. Because we charge so little, we depend on full classes. If you can’t make it, try finding a friend to take your spot.


There is a $5 fee for refunds if you cancel a week before the class. In the event that a teacher or Old School cancels a class, you’ll get a full refund.
Online payments made within 60 days are refunded online to the original payment account. Online payments made more than 60 days earlier are refunded by check. Cash and check payments are both refunded by check.


We offer low-cost childcare upon request for most classes (see prices here). To request childcare for your class, contact us at least one week before the class so we can secure a sitter. If you request childcare and then decide to not bring your child, you are still responsible for the childcare payment. More info here.

E-mail List

By registering for a class, you authorize The Old School to add the email address you entered to our Newsletter Email List. Each newsletter email contains an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Those who choose to unsubscribe will not be re-added upon a new registration.
