Safe & Simple Canning
Too many tomatoes? Armenian cucumbers taking over? Can’t bear to walk past that flat of strawberries at the Farmer’s Market? What to do with all that extra produce? Join us for a great two hours of canning for beginners. Be one of the many enjoying your own produce in the dead of winter. Learn safe ways to preserve the fruits of your labor. In this two hour class, we’ll explore the different ways to handle your extra produce, discuss the basic do’s and don’ts of canning, exchange recipes, and participate in preparing and preserving something in season. This is a hands on class so bring an apron! You’ll have the resources and knowledge to walk out and start preserving! Safe, free childcare available.
